Finch Fabrics of LA - Review and Giveaway, featuring a Lane Raglan

I recently heard about a new fabric shop - Finch Fabrics of LA. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should. They sell all kinds of high quality apparel fabrics from the LA Fabric District. They were nice enough to send me some free fabric to review for you here. I got some great fabric and sewed up several different items, so I'll be showing them to you all week. Here's the best part - they are also offering a giveaway with 10 yards of fabric and a discount for readers. Keep reading to enter the giveaway and get the coupon code.

The first fabric I'm showing off here is this Snakeskin Micro French Terry. It chose this one on a bit of a whim, because I wasn't too sure what I was going to make with it. Snakeskin seemed a bit wild for me. But once I had it in my hands, it spoke to me. It said it needed to be a Lane Raglan* from Hey June*. Fabric doesn't always speak to me, but I try to listen when it does.

This fabric was amazingly soft and perfect for this top. It was easy to sew up with lots of stretch and recovery and a great medium weight. The micro french terry is not as fuzzy as other french terry fabrics, but is warm and cozy to wear. The snakeskin print makes it a little more fashionable and less like loungewear. (At least in my opinion.)  You might see me wearing this top a lot as the weather is starting to cool down here.

Bethany over at Sew not Perfect also made an awesome pair of joggers out of this fabric. Check them out here.

And now for the part you have been waiting for: Finch Fabrics has created a coupon code just for readers. Use this code for 10% any fabric in the shop until November 16, 2015: WALLYANDGRACE10

They are also letting me giveaway 10 yards of free fabric to you, my blog readers! Check it out and enter the giveaway below.
