Halifax Sweater from Hey June Handmade

I managed to finish up another sweater for me just in time for warm weather. Oh well. This time it's the Halifax Hoodie* from Hey June Handmade.

Just like everything else I have made from Hey June, the fit on this sweater is great. I made an XS, but I lengthened the whole thing by 2 inches so that it covers my booty in the back. I wanted to be able to wear this post-yoga or lounging around the house with leggings, so I like the coverage in the back. There is a slight hi-lo hem to this shirt, which is really cool. So it covers my booty in the back but doesn't look super long in the front. It's comfy for lounging, but also works great as a comfy shirt to wear out with skinny jeans.

The main fabric is one of those fabrics that has been in my stash forever because I didn't know what to do with it. It is a lightweight french terry with blue and gray color variations. I wasn't sure I liked it until I sewed it up and now I really like it. I love the sweater-like texture of it. The cuffs and bands where all made with the solid gray french terry from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, since it has great stretch and recovery.

And I couldn't get pictures without at least a few photo-bombs from my mini-me!
